ITANAGAR, 12 Aug: The Atal Tinkering Lab (ATL) of PM SHRI Kendriya Vidyalaya No 2 here celebrated ‘Mega Tinkering Day-2025’ with great enthusiasm on Tuesday.
Around 50 students and teachers from both ATL and non-ATL schools took part in the event, which provided a vibrant platform for creativity, innovation, and experiential learning.
A major highlight of the celebration was the development of a functional vacuum cleaner by students, through collaborative teamwork with peers and mentors from KV 2.
This hands-on activity not only demonstrated the students’ technical skills but also reflected their problem-solving abilities and innovative thinking, said the school authority in release.
Attending the programme, NIT Assistant Professor Dr Manjula Ghatak encouraged the students to explore innovative ideas and scientific possibilities.
The celebration formed part of a nationwide initiative aimed at promoting STEM education, fostering critical thinking, and encouraging innovation among school students. PM SHRI KV No 2 holds the distinction of being among the few selected schools by the Atal Innovation Mission for participation in the centrally organised Mega Tinkering Day through the online mode, the release said.
