ANINI, 17 Nov: Additional Director General (ADG) of Police Vivek Kishore visited Dibang Valley district headquarters here on Sunday to review the district’s law and order situation and assess its preparedness for the upcoming elections.
A detailed review meeting was held at the SP office, where the ADG examined security arrangements, force deployment plans, communication systems, and overall readiness. Officers from all units briefed him on the measures undertaken in view of the district’s difficult terrain and harsh weather conditions.
During the briefing, the ADG took note of several key initiatives of the Dibang Valley police, including the operationalisation of the traffic wing in Anini, which has improved road management and public convenience. He also commended the progress made in implementing the new criminal laws, particularly in areas of training, documentation, and field-level compliance.
The ADG acknowledged the sustained efficiency and dedication of the district police despite extreme climatic conditions and challenging geography.
The review meeting was attended by SP Manish Shaurya, Inspector Prahlad Nath, OC Lokmey Bolok, and officers from all branches of the district police. (DIPRO)
