JANG, 15 Jan: The Indian Army’s Gajraj Corps inaugurated the newly renovated Dharma Mati School here in Tawang district on Thursday.

The school was renovated under Project Sadbhavna, marking another meaningful step towards strengthening education, national integration, and community welfare in border villages.

The renovation has substantially upgraded the school’s educational and residential infrastructure. The initiative includes a fully functional computer laboratory, a well-stocked library, and a recreational hall equipped with a smart interactive panel. Enhanced indoor and outdoor sports facilities have also been developed to promote physical fitness, discipline, and all-round development among the students.

As part of the project, the school hostel underwent comprehensive upgradation, with students being provided with essential amenities such as blankets, bed sheets, cupboards, washing machines, and tracksuits.

The local population expressed deep appreciation for the Army’s continued efforts in strengthening education and social development in the region.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by Baisakhi Brigade Commander Brigadier Rahul Mishra, ZPC Leki Gombu, senior Army officials, representatives of the civil administration, school staff, students, and members of the local community. (DIPRO)
