DDSE’s attention drawn towards poor state of govt schools

ITANAGAR, Aug 31: The Kargu Kardi Students’ Union (KKSU) has drawn the attention of the West Siang Deputy Director School Education (DDSE) towards issues like shortage of subject teachers and books, absence of hostel for boys and girls, teachers’ quarters, poor school building structures, besides teachers’ irregularity and urged him to take urgent steps to address the said issues in the interest of the student community.
In a memorandum to the West Siang Deputy Director School Education on Thursday, the union informed that it conducted an educational tour-cum-career counseling programme at various government schools in Upper Kamba, Darak, Tirbin, Liromoba and Yomcha and found that schools have been functioning without basic facilities, which has resulted in the poor performance of students in the recent CBSE examinations.
