TAWANG, Apr 17: With the public cooperating in the fight against Covid-19 by staying indoors, the Tawang district administration continues to deliver essential commodities to the people’s doorsteps through volunteers and members of NGOs.
All the departments dealing with implementation of the central and state governments’ welfare schemes are actively working to ensure that the provisions reach the beneficiaries.
So far 24,095 families in the district have received benefits under the Garib Kalyan Ann Yojana, the Ujjwala Yojana, the Kisan Sammaan Yojana, the national old-age pension scheme, the national widow pension scheme, the national disability pension scheme, the Jan Dhan Yojana, the state disaster response fund, and the support to BPL families by the state government.
