RONO HILLS, Nov 25: The University Industry Interface Cell (UIIC) of Rajiv Gandhi University (RGU), organised the third ‘Campus to Corporate’ workshop on November 24.
Inaugurating the programme, RGU Vice Chancellor Professor Tamo Mibang, stressed on the importance of interface between the industry and academia, and mentioned how important it was for students to develop professionally to become future leaders and managers.
Resource person and AGM of Vijaya Bank, Pradip Kr Behra enumerated on the careers and scope of banking in North east and Arunachal Pradesh.
Head Planning and Implementation, Technology from Vodafone India, Nabakishore Singha spoke on the future trends in Information and Communication Technology.
He enumerated on concepts of 5G, cloud computing, virtual reality and explained about future careers that would be available in these areas.
Pinky Sarma, the Manager Personnel of Assam Industrial Development Corporation spoke on the overall skills and competencies that a student needs to build for better employability in today’s professional world and also gave inputs on how to be successful in a chosen career.
Earlier, Head of the Department of Management, Arindam Garg explained the concept of the workshop and spoke on the activities of the UIIC. He also informed that RGU is one of the first central universities to have set up this kind of cell for the benefit of the student community.
