AALO, Apr 20: Donations in cash and kind continue to flow in to assist those on the frontline of the fight against Covid-19 in West Siang district.
The 1991-94 batch of the government higher secondary school here, led by Gego Doji and Toba Ori, handed over Rs 50,000 to the deputy commissioner, while Kenge Jini handed over another Rs 50,000 on behalf of the Nyiko Bango.
A notable donor was Kenli Bam, a Class 3 student of Kidzee School here, who donated his piggy bank towards the ‘Mask 4 Arunachal’ campaign.
The GYO donated Rs 5000 for the volunteers who are manning the Hissam check gate with the police and doctors.
Meanwhile, the district unit of the Arunachal Pradesh Doctors Association is distributing masks and creating awareness on physical distancing, especially at the banks, where crowd management is important.
The nodal officers for the quarantine facility and migrant labourers, DDMO Dorjee Nima and LO Sapbi Yomcha, informed that 1342 migrant workers have been provided with ration from the national disaster response fund, as of 18 April. (DIPRO)
