AALO, Dec 5: The West Siang District Task Force on Thursday reviewed the progress of the activities aimed at administering Measles-Rubella vaccine to children between the ages of 9 months and 15 years.
Deputy commissioner Swetika Sachan, who chaired the meeting, called for intensifying the activities in the district, so that no children are left uncovered under the programme.
“This national programme is time bound and no official engaged in the programme should be granted any kind of leave till completion of the programme,” she said, and asked the medical and other line departments to be focused on finalizing the data and launching “vigorous campaigns” in their respective jurisdictions.
District Medical Officer, Dr Nyage Geyi, sought cooperation from officers, panchayat members, and village authorities in launching the programme effectively, while DFWO Dr Tomar Kamki made a Power-Point presentation on the feedback from different administrative outposts. (DIPRO)
