JOLLANG, 22 Mar: The fifth Lt Fr Salew Thomas Volleyball Tournament, organized by the Don Bosco College (DBC) here, concluded on Monday.
The college’s history department lifted the winner’s trophy in the boys’ category by defeating the commerce department. In the girl’s category, BA 4th semester lifted the winner’s trophy after defeating BCom 2nd semester. Jacob Wangsu of the history department was declared the best male player and Tassar Yagung of BA 4th semester was declared the best female player.
Jollang GP Chairperson Tana Taha Tara, who attended the valedictory function, highlighted the importance of physical activities and requested the sports club of the college to participate in events organized in the area.
DBC Principal Fr Jose Karamullil also spoke.
The students of the economics department performed a skit to mark World Home Economics Day.
