ITANAGAR, 8 Apr: The Nedo Welfare Society (NWS), has in a representation addressed to the chief secretary on Thursday, appealed for considering re-alignment of the high altitude hill road from Lada-Besai via Sachung and Nisangjung under East Kameng district.
The NWS claimed that the current road alignment is prepared through the GPS system without conducting any physical survey.
“As per the circular notified by the concerned circle officer No. LM-SPA/CPWD/HAR/P-(11) 2018 dated 25 March 2021, it is clearly mentioned on the map that the road is passing 300 to 400 meters away from Lada township, whereas it is should be passing through the mid of the township,” it said and urged the authority concerned to re-align the said road by conducting a physical survey in consultation with the concerned villagers.
