10-day annual training camp of NCC concludes

ITANAGAR, Jan 9: The combined annual training camp for NCC cadets was organized by the 1 AP BN NCC at Rajiv Gandhi Government Polytechnic (RGGP) here from 1 to 9 January.
Cadets from all over Arunachal Pradesh and Assam attended the camp.
The camp was conducted with the aim of developing character, camaraderie, and discipline, and to inculcate leadership qualities and hone up planning and organizational skills through various activities.
Apart from activities like firing practice, drill, cleanliness drive, etc, the camp featured a ‘special dental checkup’ programme by Maj (Dr) Suprita Chandel of Project Arunank for all the 406 cadets.
Officials from the NDRF also conducted a live demonstration on search and rescue operation.
Lectures and classes on various social issues were also imparted by instructors and visiting experts. The camp culminated with a cultural extravaganza in which RGGP Principal Dr AK Tripathy felicitated the cadets by giving away the prizes for excellence in various activities during the camp.
In his address, Dr Tripathy said that the NCC not only builds personality but also inculcates the habit of cleanliness, discipline, and team spirit.
Camp commandant Lt Col N K Bishnoi, deputy camp commandant Lt Col Anup Awasthi, camp adjutant Palvinder Singh, and senior cyber security consultant Abhijit Tripathy were among those present on the occasion.
