ROING, 19 Jan: Lower Dibang Valley Deputy Commissioner Soumya Saurabh has called for collective efforts of all stakeholders for successful implementation of the government schemes in the district.
Presiding over the meeting of bankers, heads of departments and administrative officers of the district on the credit-deposit (CD) ratio and status of government sponsored schemes, here on Wednesday, the DC said, “The successful implementation of government schemes is a collective effort where the burden of work is shared by all stakeholders. Instead of shifting the blame, expedite the process of loan sanctioning under the government schemes to the customers.”
She also advised the government departments to make targeted scheme-based micro plans.
Reviewing the status of Atmanirbhar Krishi Yojana and Atmanirbhar Bagwani Yojana under the agriculture and horticulture departments, the DC stressed on the need for timely sanction of loans by the banks.
“Role of government departments do not end with the successful disbursal of loans,” she said while asking the banks to provide a consolidated list of all NPAs and defaulters, which she said “needed to be followed up by the government departments.”
The DC also advised all to create awareness on the welfare schemes and pension schemes of the central government.
