LEKHI, Feb 2: A 20-day residential diploma course in yoga education for 23 youths, including 14 girls, from 11 districts of the state began at Seva Dham here on Friday.
The training programme is organized by Seva Bharti Arunachal Pradesh (SBAP), in association with Yog Gurukul Asom (YGA).
In his inaugural address, Likabali MLA Kardo Nyigyor asked the participants to “improve their inner power of self-confidence through yoga.”
YGA vice president Himadri Purakasta said that yoga practice would help in maintaining sound health and good physique. “It is also helpful for stress management,” he added.
Prant seva pramukh Shekhar Kalker and SBAP general secretary Taniyang Ningee also spoke.
