ITANAGAR, Sep 15: In a representation to the Minister for Education & Library on Friday, the Arunachal Teachers Association, Central Executive Committee (ATA, CEC) has urged him to postpone release order of district transfer and posting of teachers till June 1, 2018 after completion of remaining 4 months of academic session.
Strongly criticising the state government’s decision, the teachers’ association said that teachers working at various school in the state have completed 50% of the academic syllabus and half yearly examination is likely to be conducted in the month of November 2017. As such this mid-session district transfer of teachers is directly hampering the academic continuity of the student in different school in the state, it added and suggested the government to develop suitable mechanism for posting of only 50 teachers in one go as per the requirement worked out.
‘The ATA across the state welcome the free and fair rationalization of district transfer and posting of teachers as per deadline given to the government in the month of April and May (Vacation period) in every academic year but out rightly reject the government’s move for district transfer and posting of teachers in one go in mid academic session as it adversely affects teachers as well as academic continuity of the student of Capital Complex and other district in the state’, it stated.
