GURUGRAM, 25 Feb: The Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the National Foundation for Communal Harmony (NFCH) on Tuesday to provide financial assistance for the education of the violence-affected students in Assam, Manipur and Chattisgarh.
Altogether 1,632 students have been identified and will avail the financial grants from the company’s corporate social responsibility fund.
In 2021, 1,260 children were supported. Out of them, 1,048 are in Class 12, 185 are undergraduate and postgraduate students, and 27 have opted for professional courses.
The MoU was signed by Power Grid Director (Personnel) VK Singh and NFCH Secretary Manoj Pant.
