PASIGHAT, 17 May: Over 160 numbers of saplings were planted in and around the campus of JN College during a mass plantation drive conducted by the NSS unit of the college here in East Siang district on Tuesday.
Around 87 NSS volunteers participated in the mass plantation drive along with the college’s principal Dr. Tasi Taloh and vice-principal Dr. S.D Choudhury.
Later, principal Dr. Tasi Taloh distributed the certificates to all 6th semester senior volunteers.
The mass plantation drive was conducted under the guidance of NSS programme officers Dr. T. Payum, Dr. Kento Kadu and Dr. Ing Perme.
