RUKSIN, 24 May: Pasighat West MLA Ninong Ering has provided Rs 10 lakhs from his local area development fund to the government higher secondary school here in East Siang district for renovation of the classrooms and the school building.
Ering, accompanied by ZPMs Aruni Jamoh and Anung Gammeng, CO Oyam Saring, and Block Education Officer T Tapak inspected the facilities in the school on Tuesday.
The MLA discussed the matter of the school’s maintenance with the PRI leaders and officials of the education department.
It was decided that “every panchayat leader and prominent persons of the constituency will adopt at least one school, monitor welfare
and academic progress, while they would provide tuition facilities to the students, considering their progress in a sustainable manner.”
Stating that development of educational institutions in the area is a big challenge, the MLA sought support from everyone to address the challenges.
