PASIGHAT, 4 Jun: Twenty oil palm growers, along with 20 extension functionaries of the East Siang agriculture department took part in a two-day training programme on ‘oil palm development’, organised by the State Agricultural Management & Extension Training Institute (SAMETI) here.
During the inaugural session of the programme (which concluded on Saturday), SAMETI Director (in-charge) Sengo Dini highlighted the scope and feasibility of oil palm cultivation in the state, and the government subsidies being provided under the oil palm development programme.
