DOIMUKH, 5 Jul: Doimukh Subdivisional Officer Sabodam Tayang recently issued an order banning the use of single-use plastic in the entire Doimukh administrative jurisdiction.
The order stated that “necessary directions have been given to the Doimukh EAC, the Gumto CO, the police station OC, and the district urban development agency to remain vigilant and ensure strict implementation of the order.”
“Undermining the order will invite action under appropriate sections of the law and a penalty of Rs 5,000 will be imposed upon shopkeepers not complying with the ban,” the order read. (DIPRO)
