ROING, 13 Sep: Education Commissioner Padmini Singla visited Lower Dibang Valley (LDV) district on Tuesday and inspected a number of schools in the district.
During her visit to the government higher secondary school (GHSS) in Dambuk, Singla interacted with the principal, the teaching staff and the students. She also observed the classroom teaching. She then visited MRS, Ekalavya, Dambuk and inspected the ongoing construction work.
Singla visited the upper primary school (UPS) in Malek and inspected the pre-primary centre, the MDM kitchen and the classrooms. She also visited the UPS in New Colony and inspected the ECCE centre and the academic activities.
The commissioner instructed the GHSS principal to “ensure immediate proper functioning of the computer lab of the school within seven days.”
She also chaired a ‘review-cum-coordination meeting’ with the principals and headmasters of the GHSS’, and handed over a hard disk with e-content, developed by the Rotary India Literacy Mission, in collaboration with the SCERT, for the students of Class 1 to 10.
“The DC Roing has already set the targets to be achieved during the forthcoming CBSE results by every individual school, for which all the heads of schools have to take specific steps at their disposal and discussion towards academic improvement and progress, with special focus on Classes 10 and 12,” BEO Obang Langkam said.
