Durga puja celebration ends

PASIGHAT, 5 Oct: Five-day long Durga puja festival celebrated by Hindu devotees in East Siang district concluded with immersion of Durga idol in Siang river on the day of Vijoya Dashami (Wednesday).

Durga puja was celebrated this time with much enthusiasm after two years of pandemic imposed restriction.

The puja was organized at town Durga Mandir, Balaji Mandir, CRPF Shakti Mandir, High region Kali Mandir of Pasighat, Ruksin town, Oyan Shiva Mandir and other places.

Rush of devotees was seen at the puja mandaps on the days of Maha Ashtami and Maha Navami.

On the other hand, Sri Sri Sankar Guru Krishti Kendra of Pasighat on Wednesday celebrated ‘Sankar Mahotsav’ with massive participation of the Vaishnava devotees.

The organizers took out a ‘Bhagawat Bhraman (procession)’

along Pasighat town road, which was attended by local MLA Kaling Moyong.
