CHANGLANG, 15 Jul: The Changlang animal husbandry & veterinary department distributed piglets to 40 beneficiaries of the Arun Pig Development Scheme, 2021-’22, here on Saturday.
District Veterinary Officer (DVO) Ojuli Motong informed that “the piglets were distributed constituency-wise – Changlang North and Changlang South – and each constituency was given 20 piglets.”
Among others, Changlang EAC M Talo, Changlang ZPM Mengpa Haisa, Khimiyong ZPM Kapjong Techi, and Yatdam ZPM Kapseng Kungkho were present at the distribution programme.
The DVO further informed that “those beneficiaries who will not construct proper piggery and sell in the market without proper maturity and proper breeding will be deleted from the beneficiaries’ list in the future.” (DIPRO)
