ITANAGAR, Sep 20: Hundreds of students under the banner of Arunachal Law Students’ Union (ALSU) took out a peaceful rally from Kankar Nallah Higher Secondary School ground in Naharlagun to Indira Gandhi Park, here on Wednesday to protest against the state government’s alleged failure to fulfil its charter of demands.
The Union had earlier demanded immediate repeal of the Arunachal Pradesh Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 2014; establishment of permanent land law; implementation and enactment of Forest Act and Lokayukta in the state, etc.
It further gave a seven-day ultimatum to the state government to fulfil all of its demands.
