ITANAGAR, 28 Oct: Governor KT Parnaik adopted two TB patients in Lower Dibang Valley (LDV) district under the Nikshay Mitra initiative on Sunday.
The Nikshay Mitra initiative provides TB patients with nutritional, diagnostic, and vocational support.
During a visit to the district hospital there, the governor also inspected the different wards of the hospital, and presented food baskets to the adopted patients.
The governor interacted with LDV MLAs Mutchu Mithi and Puinnyo Apum and health officials, and encouraged the health officials to promote healthy lifestyles, raise health awareness, and “leverage technology for better analysis and planning.”
District Tuberculosis Officer Dr Sagar Migri briefed the governor on TB and other health issues in the district.
Deputy Commissioner Soumya Saurabh and Superintendent of Police Tumme Amo were present during the visit. (Raj Bhavan)
