ZIRO, 15 Dec: A weeklong winter football coaching camp, being organised by the Lower Subansiri District Football Association (LSDFA), got underway at Padi Yubbe Outdoor Stadium here on Sunday.
The camp, which is free of charge, is open to youngsters aged 7-15 years, and its primary objective is to identify, train, and encourage young talents, the association informed in a release.
“Over 80 participants have enrolled for the camp. The LSDFA aims to provide a platform for the youthsto develop their football skills and represent the district at various levels,” the camp’s chief coordinator Padi Khorey said.
The coaching camp will be conducted under the expert guidance of AIFF coach licence holders and supported by experienced senior women’s football players from the district, the release said.
LSDFA president Radhe Tam and its executive members were present at the launch of the camp, it added.
