NAHARLAGUN, 9 Aug: The reigning winners of the 3rd edition of the Arunachal Married Couple Show (AMCS) on Friday organised a blood donation camp at the Tomo Riba Institute of Health & Medical Science (TRIHMS) here as a part of their charitable activities.
The blood donation event was organised by the AMCS and supported by Nya Tani Foundation.
More than 100 volunteers participated in the camp, and at least 50 blood units were collected.
Reigning Arunachal Married Couple Show winners – Dr Minggam Pertin and Dr Asthomi Jomoh Pertin, and Bingdung Takar Rajiv and Bingdung Takar Santy – also took part in the drive, along with other winners and executive members.
Chairperson of the show, Charu Amchi Biri, said that the aim of the competition is to ensure the welfare of the society through various activities. She said that “this is not merely a show focusing on glamour but more of public service with the participation of married couples together.”
Event director of the show, Topan Rimo Neri, said that one needs to voluntarily donate blood for the sake of fellow human beings.
Last week the reigning Arunachal Married Couple show winners, along with other title winners and executive members visited the Asha Bhavan rehabilitation centre in Banderdewa.
The 4th edition of the AMCS-2025 online audition is underway and the final audition will be held till 16 August. For more details one can follow the AMCS social pages on Facebook inform the AMCS event director.
