ITANAGAR, 17 Nov: Thirty-one emergency medical technicians (EMTs) from across the state participated in a training programme organised here by the EMRI Green Health Services, GVK Enterprise last Saturday.
The initiative aimed to bolster the capabilities of emergency medical healthcare workers and improve emergency response times in the state.
The certification ceremony, held at the EMRI GHS head office, was attended by EMRI GHS state head Khoda Tabin, EMRI GHS operations head Arun Kumar, EMRI GHS ERC head Chiranjiv Kumar Gautam, and representatives of the EMRI Green Health Services.
In his address, Tabin emphasised the critical role of well-trained EMTs in saving lives and ensuring timely medical interventions during emergencies. “EMTs are people who are trained to save lives,irrespective of their own pain,” he said.
“Providing quality medical training to our EMTs is a step towards strengthening our emergency response system,” Tabin said, adding that “this initiative will not only quip our personnel with essential skills but also ensure that our communities receive prompt and efficient medical care in times of need.”
The EMT training programme was designed to offer participants in-depth knowledge and hands-on experience in emergency medical procedures, including advanced life support, trauma care, and patient assessment.
The curriculum was delivered by experienced instructor and medical professional Dr Toko Ben from the EMRI GHS Itanagar office.
Certificates were later distributed among the participants.
