AALO, 17 Mar: West Siang Deputy Commissioner Mindo Loyi urged banks to process loan applications without unnecessary delays, and to improve their performance in line with the annual credit plan
The DC also directed the line departments to maintain regular coordination with banks to ensure that beneficiaries do not face difficulties and the schemes are implemented smoothly.
Addressing officials during a District Consultative Committee and District Level Review Committee meeting here on Tuesday, Loyi reviewed the progress of various banks and ongoing financial schemes in the district.
The DC emphasised the need for timely updates on the Atmanirbhar loan scheme and instructed all bank branches to provide up-to-date data on loan proposals.
“The PRI members are willing to support banks in loan recovery,” the DC said, and assured that genuine beneficiaries would be properly identified.
The DC also launched the NABARD potential linked credit plan (PLP) for 2026-27, in the presence of NABARD DDC Benjamin Gangte.
During the meeting, the DPO clarified that no NOC is required for loans up to Rs 2 lakh as per RBI guidelines. The DPO advised all bank branch managers to “follow the same.”
