ITANAGAR, May 23: A coordination meeting was convened here on Wednesday by Capital Complex Deputy Commissioner Prince Dhawan to discuss the proposal for setting up of camps within the Capital Complex to facilitate services to the citizens under the scheme of ‘government at your doorstep’ (Sarkar Aapke Dwar).
During the meeting, the DC informed that the district administration will conduct the first Jan Sunvai Sammelan on 9 June to resolve public grievances on the spot.
The DC further informed that many a times, government schemes, including centrally sponsored schemes remain unknown to the beneficiaries, for who they are intended. He said that it is necessary that every department work out a proper plan to create awareness regarding important schemes and services concerning their departments.
He also directed EAC Tame Yajum to coordinate with all the stakeholders so that preparation could be started in a proper way for the successful conduct of the programme.
He also informed that the calendar of events for the whole year would be drawn for the benefit of the public, and appealed to the citizens to participate in the series of camps to avail benefit of various services.
Dhawan informed that services, such as Aadhaar enrolment, renewal of ration card, issuance of water connection forms, health camps, issue of birth certificate, ST, PRC, etc would be provided during the camps.
All the heads of departments, president APWWS, president CWC, member secretary APLSA, member local complaint committee,and other stakeholders attended the meeting. (DIPRO)
