DC stresses on quality education

ITANAGAR, May 23: Capital Complex Deputy Commissioner Prince Dhawan on Wednesday inaugurated the newly upgraded infrastructure of Modirijo Primary School in the presence of government officers and the school fraternity.
Speaking on the occasion, the DC said that the quality of education should not be comprised at any cost, adding that the district administration will give due importance to lift the education sector in the Capital Complex.
Stating that students are the backbone of the society, the DC urged the students to be disciplined and to refrain from bad habits, such as drugs, alcohol, etc. He requested the teachers to mould the character of students in good direction so that students refrain from bad habits. The DC also urged the school management committee (SMC) to regularly monitor the performance of the students.
Dhawan further said that newly constructed classroom and concrete stairs will provide students with a better atmosphere.
The basic requirements of the school,such as bench, desk, white board, fan water filter, etc have already been purchased and will be handed over to the school by 15 June, the DC disclosed.
Itanagar EAC Hengo Basar urged the parents to send their children to school and take proper care of their children.
SMC chairperson Kipa Tugung submitted a memorandum to the DC on behalf of the committee regarding various requirements of the school, to which the DC assured to look into.
Regarding the link road leading to the school, the DC assured to take up the matter with the PWD. (DIPRO)
