ROING, Jun 30: As many as 50 people including farmers and SHG members attended a financial literacy and awareness programme organized by the Roing branch of the Arunachal Pradesh Rural Bank (APRB) at Koronu village in Lower Dibang Valley district on Friday.
APRB branch manager PB Chetry explained the different types of accounts that can be maintained in a bank. He also informed the gathering about the schemes that bank account holders can avail of, and highlighted social security schemes such as PMJDY, PMSBY, PMJJBY, and APY.
NABARD district development manager Nitya Mili informed about financial inclusion and financial planning. He also briefed the participants on the flagship schemes of both the state and the central governments, and explained the procedure for availing benefits under the schemes.
Koronu Circle Officer Olom Panggeng also spoke.
