PASIGHAT, Jul 14: Hundreds of people from Pasighat and nearby areas took advantage of the jan sunvai sammelan organized by here by the East Siang district administration on Saturday.
Renewal of inner line permits, vehicle registration and issuing of driving licences, birth certificates, permanent residence and ST certificates, LPG connections, distribution of LED bulbs under UJALA scheme, bank account opening, enrollment under various social security schemes, and Aadhaar enrollment were done on the spot.
Officials of the health & family welfare, education, legal metrology and other departments also offered services and imparted awareness among the people about the schemes in their respective departments.
Local MLA Kaling Moyong, who was also present at the sunwai, lauded the government departments and bank authorities for offering their services, and urged the people to avail of the benefits under the state and central flagship programmes. (DIPRO)
