ITANAGAR, Jul 24: Expressing resentment over the non-implementation of all the allowances under the 7th CPC for the state government employees, the Confederation of Service Associations of Arunachal Pradesh (CoSAAP) has requested the state government to grant the allowances as per the recommendation of the 7th CPC at the earliest.
It said some of the important allowances have been granted to All India Service (AIS) officers serving in the state.
The new central executive committee of the CoSAAP, led by its president Pate Marik and secretary general Gonya Riba, called on Chief Minister Pema Khandu here on Tuesday and submitted a 10-point memorandum.
The CoSAAP president told the chief minister that the state government employees are unhappy over the non-implementation of all the allowances of the 7th CPC while some of the “important” allowances have been granted to AIS officers serving in the state, which he said was indicative of “discrimination” against the employees of the state.
The CoSAAP also urged the chief minister to direct the chief secretary to conduct a high-level standing committee meeting pertaining to pay anomalies of various cadres of employees in 16 departments, which were notified to be conducted twice, on 7 and 30 June.
“The chief minister has assured to look into every point and directed the departments concerned to submit proposals in detail with financial implications, which will be placed in the cabinet for discussion and fruitful decisions,” the CoSAAP later stated in a release.
“He urged the government employees to discharge their duties with utmost sincerity and dedication with a view to improve work culture,” it said.
“He also emphasized the need of timely conduct of meetings of the Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC) and immediate issue of orders after the DPC, so that no employee is deprived of timely promotion and other benefits,” it said.
