KOLORIANG, Aug 10: As many as 11462 children between 1 and 9 years of age were dewormed up to March 2018 in Kurung Kumey district, out of the targeted 12173, with a success rate of 94.15%.
Kurung Kumey DRCHO Dr Nani Tanyo informed this during a coordination meeting on National Deworming Day (NDD) held at the deputy commissioner’s chamber here on Friday.
The meeting was held in connection with the forthcoming NDD on 27 August. Dr Tanyo also explained why it is important to deworm children.
DMO Dr C Lowang also spoke.
Deputy Commissioner In-charge Nighee Bengia and the DDSE also attended the meeting. (DIPRO)
