ITANAGAR, Aug 23: Former chief minister and Sagalee MLA Nabam Tuki has remitted a month’s salary to the account of the Chief Minister’s Distress Relief Fund for the flood-affected people of Kerala.
He expressed hope that the amount would help a few of the aggrieved people who are in dire need of financial and other support.
“At this hour of grief and sorrow in the state of Kerala, I join with the rest of the nation by paying homage and condolences to the bereaved families. This is a token of love and concern for my fellow brethrens,” Tuki said.
