Duty and responsibility of police is to defend the state and nation: Waii

BANDERDEWA, Aug 23: The duty and responsibility of the police force is to defend the state and the nation, Home Minister Kumar Waii said at the passing-out parade of the 46th batch recruit constables at the Police Training Centre (PTC) here on Thursday.
Addressing the personnel, Waii said, “The police force should protect the state and the nation by controlling criminal and antisocial activities.”
The minister stressed on maintaining self-discipline along with good manners by police personnel, irrespective of their rank, with the sole purpose of serving the people of the state.
DIGP Take Ringu informed that the basic purpose of the training was to impart to the trainees the basic knowledge of new models, techniques, materials, and laws of the IPC, CrPC, etc, which are needed in day-to-day handling of both civil and criminal cases. (DIPRO)
