ITANGAR, Aug 30: A ‘Foldscope outreach programme’ was conducted for around 50 botany and zoology students of Dera Natung Government College (DNGC) here on 27 August.
Different varieties of slides were prepared by the students during the programme, during which HoD Dr P Nanda explained the various aspects of the foldscope.
DNGC Principal Dr NT Rikam encouraged students to learn the practical aspects of using a foldsope.
The outreach programme was held by Mudang Omo of the SCERT, Itanagar, his twinning partner, Dr Anupama Harshal from Kishinchand Chellaran College, Mumbai, and Siyang Borang of SHRDI, Chimpu.
The programme was coordinated by Dr PM Singh and Bari Dabi, and sponsored by the union science & technology ministry’s biotechnology department.
