ITANAGAR, Sep 3: The Save Arunachal Youth Association (SAYA) has demanded that the state government clear the compensation against the land acquired for the Potin-Bopi portion of the Trans-Arunachal Highway (TAH) in Lower Subansiri district.
In a release, the association informed that the land verification of the Potin-Bopi portion of the TAH has been completed as on 3 September.
Stating that people whose plots were acquired have been facing hardships due to non-payment of compensation, the SAYA demanded that the state government release the compensation with 30 days, with 3 September being the first day. It said it would otherwise launch a democratic movement.
