ITANAGAR, Oct 10: the Arunachal Olympic Association (AOA) will conduct the second State Olympic Games from November 2 to 5 at Sangay Lhaden Sports Academy complex at Chimpu near Itanagar.
The AOA took the decision in a meeting on Tuesday attended by its President Padi Richo.
As per the government’s decision, 10 sports disciplines were included in the games, which are athletics, archery, boxing, football (women), karate, judo, table tennis, taekwondo, weightlifting and wushu.
Medal winners will be selected for the ensuing North East Olympic Games scheduled to be held next month in Manipur.
Indian Olympic Association General Rajeev Mehta and top sports officials from the country and North East Region are expected to attend the inaugural ceremony.
