ITANAGAR, Sep 22: Six juveniles were arrested by the capital police from various locations of the capital complex on Friday, and eight stolen scooters were recovered from their possession.
Additionally, one Tana Aju was arrested from Nirjuli area.
The breakthroughs were made by a team of the Naharlagun police station headed by OC G Tassa and SI Sushant Jha, and a team of the Itanagar PS, which included SDPO Kamdam Sikom and SI Giogi Tape.
Speaking to this daily, SP M Harsha Vardhan said, “Juveniles being involved in scooter theft is a disturbing trend. We have stepped up regular checks at night to reduce the number of vehicle thefts.”
