NAHARLAGUN, Sep 23: Captain Toko Poliam led Arunachal Pradesh Police (APP) from the front to pull off a late comeback 3-2 win over Banderdewa FC in the 7th Eagle Football Championship at RG Stadium here on Sunday.
Poliam not only opened the account for APP, scoring in the 15th minute, but also struck the winning goal in the 78th minute.
Banderdewa’s Gyamar Ajay scored two goals in quick succession in the 40th and 44th minutes, only for his side to squander a 2-1 lead in the second half.
Leegang Bungo scored the equalizer for APP in the 70th minute.
In another match, Bamang Taji FC (BTFC) were held to a 1-1 draw by Deed Circle FC (DCFC).
Tailyang Rebia scored for BTFC in the 50th minute, which was equalized by Tatung Tado five minutes later.
On Monday, Nyapin FC will meet Capital Complex FC at 12:30 pm, before Model FC take on Gora Makik SC at 2.30 pm.
