NAHARLAGUN, Nov 17: Ninety participants from Sikkim, NF Railway, Assam, Nagaland and Arunachal Pradesh participated in a five-day regional level handicraft and vocational training course for senior scouts and guides, rovers and rangers which concluded at the Bharat Scouts & Guides (BSG) state training centre here on Saturday.
Addressing the valedictory function, Secondary Education Director Gania Leij urged the participants to use the knowledge and skill gained from the training programme to become self-employed. He also advised them to be sincere in their studies and work for the development of the society.
BSG State Secretary Shehang Ronrang urged the senior scouts and guides, rovers and rangers to take interest in gaining knowledge of handicraft and skill development activities besides their academic curriculum.
State Guide Organizer Chanyan Lowang and State Scout Organizer also spoke.
The trainees were imparted training on bamboo craft and making chalk, candle, momo, incense sticks, paper flower, etc.
