DOIMUKH, Dec 2: The three days Annual Games and Sports Meet -2018 of the Govt. Hr. Sec. School, Doimukh ended at Doimukh Rono Ground on 30 November.
Students were divided into four Houses namely – Rajguru, Shuk Deo, Azad and Bhagat house during the event.
The Rajguru House headed by Mithi Perme as House Master, emerged overall champion. It bagged both Champion House and Discipline House awards, while House Master Tana Nirmali of Azad House won the Best House Master Award.
In football, Rajguru House emerged winner in both Boys’ and Girls’ categories. In Valleyball, SukhDeo House won the award in Boys’ category, while in Girls’ category, Bhagat House declared winner.
In boys’ category, Chello Rengam of (Class-(XII, Hum.,) declared as Best Athlete, while Joyshree Basumatary of Class-(X) was the Best Athlete in Girls’ category.
The main attraction of the event was 100 metre race competition for the teachers lead by Principal Nyagi Riba.
Earlier, former ZPM Tana Yayo, addressing the valedictory function, exhorted the students to be laborious in their studies and take up sports activities for physical fitness and good health.
School SMC Member Nabam Gandhi, advised the students to be disciplined and positive in life.
