ITANAGAR, Dec 4:The All Arunachal Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test Qualifiers’ Association (AAPTETQA) has in a representation to the state chief secretary on Monday, appealed to him to take steps to ensure that the TET qualified in-service SSA teachers are not left behind from the regularization process in view of the Education Department’s plans to amend the existing recruitment rules of primary teachers (PRTs) and trained graduate teachers (TGTs).
The association has proposed that regularization process be initiated in two ways i.e, both TET and non-TET be taken for regularization. For TGT posts, 25 percent posts be filled up by the APTET and CTET qualified in-service contractual teachers batch-wise, 25 percent by non-TET contractual teachers as per batch-wise/district-wise seniority list, 15 percent of posts be filled from amongst fresh APTET/CTET qualifiers through walk-in interview and 35 percent by promotion amongst the serving regular PRTs.
Further for PRTs, the association suggested that 30 percent vacant posts be filled by APTET/CTET qualified in-service contractual teachers as per batch-wise seniority, 50 percent vacant post by non-TET contractual teachers as per prescribed quota on batch-wise/district- wise seniority list and 20 percent be filled by APTET/CTET qualifiers through walk-in-interview.
