ITANAGAR, Dec 28: The Arunachal Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) celebrated the 134th foundation day of the Indian National Congress (INC) at Rajiv Gandhi Bhavan here on Friday.
APCC vice presidents Rajen Nani and Minkir Lollen, and convenor of the Arunachal Pradesh Rajiv Gandhi Panchayati Raj Sangathan, Joya Joram, highlighted the history of the country’s oldest political party, which was formed in 1885, and its contributions towards nation-building.
APCC general secretary Chera Taya also spoke.
The Arunachal Pradesh Congress Seva Dal (APCSD) also celebrated the INC’s foundation day at Indira Gandhi Congress Bhavan in Naharlagun.
An extended state executive body meeting of the Seva Dal was also held under the leadership of All India Congress Seva Dal (AICSD) general secretary PA Gurung and the AICSD’s Arunachal Pradesh in-charge Chandan Barua.
The meeting discussed the party’s strategies for the upcoming elections, informed state Seva Dal chief organizer Kipa Kaha.
