ZIRO, Jan 20: Rich tributes were paid to former head gaon burah (1966-2018) of Hari village, late Hage Kano, on the occasion of his first death anniversary here in Lower Subansiri on Sunday.
On the occasion, a bust placed near his graveyard at Rantw was formally unveiled by HGB and president of the Apatani Gaon Burah Welfare Association, Hage Tagia.
Tagia described Kano as a pioneering figure and a great social reformer, while former IAS officer Hage Kojeen, who is the eldest son of Kano, recalled the services rendered by his late father.
Among others, MLA Tage Taki, gaon burahs, former panchayat leaders, senior citizens, and members of the Hari Employees & Pensioners Welfare Association attended the unveiling ceremony of the bust and paid floral tributes.
