BARIRIJO, Feb 5: As many as 554 people, including women and children, from Baririjo and adjoining villages benefitted from a free health camp organised here in Upper Subansiri district on 3 February.
A team of specialist doctors from the TRIHMS (Naharlagun), RK Mission Hospital (Itanagar) and the Aalo (West Siang) general hospital, assisted by paramedical staff and volunteers, offered consultations and health checkups, and provided free medicines.
The camp was organized by Dream for United Arunachal (DUA) in collaboration with the TRIHMS and RKMH, with logistic support from NGO STAR, to mark the first death anniversary of DUA chairman Gumjum Haider’s mother, Ruyom Yigam Haider.
“This humanitarian service rendered by the organizer as well as the doctors has been appreciated by the villagers,” informed DUA general secretary Suraj Tayam in a release on Tuesday.
