PALIN, Feb 12: Sector magistrates along with presiding and polling officers of Kra Daadi district underwent the first phase of election training which was conducted here on Monday.
DC S Miji dwelt on the roles and responsibilities of the sector magistrates, while EAC Bamin Tarang briefed the participants on the duties of the polling and presiding officers, and on the arrangements before, during and after the polls.
DVO Bamang Raja explained the use of EVM and VVPAT, and conducted a mock poll. PGT PN Rai also spoke.
Hands-on training on EVM and VVPAT was imparted to the trainees by CO Noklem Wangjen.
Deputy DEO Millo Kojin, Pania ADC Charu Nilli and Tali ADC Biaro Sorum were also present.
In East Siang HQ Pasighat, government employees, including sector magistrates, presiding officers and polling officers were given their first election training on Monday.
The training is being organized in two phases. (DIPROs)
