ITANAGAR, Mar 12: All Nyishi Youth Association (ANYA) demanded the state Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) to keep strict vigil on some of officers who are allegedly playing politics in order to help win their favourate election candidates by ‘offering government jobs, cash for votes and contract works to voters.’
‘We are ready to cooperate with vigilance officers to find out those officers who are actively playing dirty politics in upcoming simultaneous both Assembly and Lok Sabha elections,’ the ANYA said
When there are statutory government bodies like APPSC and SSB for recruitment of Govt employees, offering Government jobs to voters by government officer is a criminal offence, the Association said and alleged that some of officers are offering contract work to the voters ‘which is out of established procedure and norms.’
