NE cultural event concludes

RUKSIN, Mar 18: The two-day North East cultural exchange programme conducted under the joint aegis of Karpung Karduk Centre for Folk Performing Art Research & Training of Arunachal Pradesh Northeast Zonal Cultural Centre, Dimapur (Nagaland) came to an end on Sunday evening, here at Rayang village in East Siang district.
Cultural troupes from different NE states showcased their tradition through folk music and dance presentations.
Wangala (Garo) folk dance of Meghalaya; Hazagiri dance of Rehang tribe of Tripura; Pung Cholom and Thang-ta dance of Manipur; Bihu dance of Assam and Yakjong, Bari and Tappu (War) dance of Adis of Arunachal were displayed on the occasion.
